In the course of statistical processing traffic flows characteristics data, check for presence anomalous measurements in sampling should be done at very start processing. If are detected, they excluded from an early stage and not taken into considerations further calculations. Numerous criteria have been developed to detect outliers, their effectiveness depends on sample size. practice, technical economic reasons, it is impractical obtain a large number measurements, as rule processed basis limited observations. this regard, methods detection outliers with small which include method based use Romanovsky criterion, great importance. However, analysis literary references showed that some recently published studies recommended criterion less than 20. Therefore, purpose study test power (test) possibility its application samplings size ( n ≤ 20). The conducted shown quite high has reliability makes possible samples measurements.
